Birding in South Korea in October - Jeju Island or Busan? (3 Viewers)

Hi,

I'm going to South Korea in the first half of October. I have 2 days of birding with Birding Korea in Seoul on Ganghwa Island.

I was going to spend 3 days at Jeju Island or Busan. I was told that I would have the chance to see different birds at Jeju Island.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to whether its worth going to Jeju Island to bird in October? I will be staying near the airport and renting a car.

Also - does anyone have any tips on owls that are native to the area? If its not possible, its not possible, but here's to hoping.

Thank you.

Cyndy

I wish I had seen this sooner. I live on Jeju and birdwatch nearly everyday during my free time. I have started a blog and am slowly filling it up with info and my findings, although difficult to find time to do it regularly. I also offer bird guiding services in English on Jeju, if you or anyone else reading this happens to drop by in the future for birding.

Maybe you'll stumble across my wallet one day. I was getting in and out of my taxi while I was there in october and dropped by Driver's License and credit cards. They were never found. :D

I would have loved to have gone with a person familiar with birdwatching on Jeju.
