Will be visiting Finland in late May/early June and have a spare day at end in Tampere. Many suggestions for good birding/mammal sites in the area.

Cheers,

Paul

Well, yes, birds will be very common at my park.

Parks are mainly good places in autumn, when there are possible to see Eastern rarity Warblers. I have noticed that parks are better birding places in South and Central Europe than in Northern Europe. We have still enough wild nature, where birds can stay even in the 'cities'. Pyynikki is also the ridge-area and ,due to it's quite dry place, so you will see only most common birds (Redstarts, Tits, Pied Flycatchers etc).
