Birding Trip to Costa Rica - Which Tour (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Firstly, thanks for letting me join this forum.

We, my wife and I, both 70 this year, want to have a bird and wildlife watching trip to Costa Rica, possibly next Feb/March and wondered if anyone could recommend a good tour operator. We are happy to be part of a small group tour. While the focus will be on birds it would be nice to see some other wildlife.

Any suggestions / recommendations welcome.

Hi Time and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. All things Scottish can be found here. Also, keep an eye on threads titled something like Scottish Bashes; we try to meet up occasionally and they're always great fun. You'd be most welcome to join us on another if you can manage.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

A few years ago my wife and I took a Saga Holiday trip to Costa Rica (see thread Birding for the elderly in Costa Rica #27). Saga cater for the more mature discerning customer (no twitchers or intrusive photographers) and can be highly recommended (I would include details of their site, but that comes under Technology and Engineering and is way over my pay-grade). The trip was not specifically for birds, but all the excursions/hotels leant towards birds/animals (the occasional pineapple and coffee plantations were thrown in, but even they had birds).
