Black Guillemot Anglesey (1 Viewer)

We had 8 off the long stay car park at Holy Head Harbour two weeks ago. Drive past the car park entrance and on to the quay and view the harbour.

They've recently been seen around Puffin Island, there's a boat trip that go's to the island you should be able to get good views.

I just returned from Holyhead.I saw black guillimot from the old fish quay and at the start of the breakwater every day last week while fishing

Agreed. Fedw Fawr NT is another very scenic but less predictable site... if you can even find it!

It takes a bit of finding but it can offer incredible scenery.

I recommend all three of the site mentioned already. Holyhead Harbour being the easiest to find and prob the most reliable.

thanks for Black Guillemots

Hi to All

Thanks for all you’re suggestions I had a great day Monday and got good views of the Black Guillemots at the fish quay.

I must have been lucky - I saw 5 black guillemots within minutes of arriving when I went!

If you've got a sat nav it's not too hard to find either - the postcode of the farm on the road leading to it is LL58 8TB, just punch that in and keep going once you pass it. It'd be a pain to navigate to without one, though...

Its a stunning area at Fedw Fawr with views of Puffin Island and the Great Orme plus loads of peace and quiet with a sprinkling of birds like Black guillemot and stonechat.
