Black Moth, France (1 Viewer)

Andrew S

Kentish Mother
I didn't think this one would take long to identify, but it's stumped me. Possibly it's a melanic form of something, but I haven't found a good match for the shape.

It was caught in SW France in August.

I've fiddled around with the levels in the second photo to try to reveal some detail.
