Very cold day with strong NW wind & occasional snow showers

Large group of Curlew feeding on the marsh as it's now High Water

Kestrel 1

Green Woodpecker 2 both on fence posts

Brent Geese 100+ on lower fields

Huge numbers of Lapwing

Pied Wagtails 30+ & 3 Meadow Pippits at sewage works

Tuffted Duck 9 at gravel pits along with numerous Coots & Moorhens

Now snowing heavily!

Fieldfare 100+! & 8 Redwing at school playing fields

Very pleased to see the large group of Fieldfares as I haven't seen this many before

There were also huge groups of waders on farmland sheltering from the strong wind in the lee of the small hill & many more on the opposite side of the river Colne & there would have been a much larger list but I cut the session short due to the weather

The birds didn't seem to mind it but I wasn't too keen on the horizontal snow!

Regards Bish. :t:
