Brown Headed Mallard? Reston, VA, USA (1 Viewer)

Is there such a thing as a brown headed mallard? I've never seen one before, but I just moved to this area. So this is new to me. It was hanging out with a large group of mallards. Could it be some kind a hybrid, or is it a subspecies?

This is a domestic duck. Domestic ducks are derived from Mallards and often still look similar to them.

RKJ is right . Domestic Mallard . "farmyard ducks" or Domestic Mallard can be a huge variety of colours and can take a bit of getting used to
