This bug is killing my flowers but I have been unable to find it online. I am in Houston, Texas.

It looks to me to be one of the stages of a shieldbug/stink bug - possibly 3rd instar. As regards which actual bug, I couldn't say - I have enough trouble recognising those that are common in Britain.
