Bullfinch Behaviour (1 Viewer)

I have my first pair of Bullfinches in my garden the female can be seen everyday at almost anytime, whereas the male pops in now and again sometimes with the female or sometimes on his own.
Im assuming that they are a breeding pair and are tending young.
Do male Bullfinches stay with the young whilst the female feeds?
Is this normal behaviour for breeding pairs.
Im of course assuming they are breeding but have no evidence to back that up, but I am hoping to see some youngsters soon.

What is the female doing?

Is she just feeding most of the time? Does the male take food and then fly off in the same direction every time? If the answer is yes to both these questions, then the chances are they are breeding. He will be feeding young while she replenishes her body fat after incubating the eggs.

Hi,
The female is feeding all of the time she visits and spends a lot of time in the garden eating Sunflower and Niger seed. The male tends to pop in feed quickly and then leave. I will try and get a look at the direction of travel, but Im sure it,s the same way.I have seen them feeding together on a few occasions also.
Thanks for the info.
