Can anybody help with this? (1 Viewer)

How much!
Hi,

I took this photograph a short while ago in my back garden, can anybody tell me what this bird is at top right on the seed feeder.
The first thumbnail is the complete photo to give some idea of its size compared to the goldfinches, the second is an enlargement of the same photo.

Thanks in anticipation
Dave

Hi Dave

Looks very much like a Yellow-fronted Canary, an African species that escapes here once in a while.

Would anyone not named Dave like to have a go? :hi: And you'll never guess my surname John!

Yep, i only knew this because by total coincidence there's pictures of a bird like this that i saw somewhere else on the internet (can't remember where) taken by Ray Roche of a stray bird at Snettisham CP.
