Can anyone identify this egg? (1 Viewer)

Hi all, Ive just registered on this forum for help. I found this egg yesterday on a walk in the woods of the Derbyshire (England) countryside and wondered if anyone know what bird it may be from?

For reference - This half of the egg was around the size of a tennis ball. If the egg was complete it would be the size of around 1 and a half tennis balls if that makes sense to anyone. Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi and welcome! I guess this egg looks like it has fallen (if it is an egg) so that should be fine, just be careful because on Birdforum you aren't allowed to post photos of captive birds, eggs and chicks in the nest, etc, to avoid disturbing breeding birds.
