Hi,
It's my first message here. I have a picture of bird I'm not able to identify. Can you help? I think it's a woodlark.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Kris

The Bird is a Dunnock ( Hedge Accentor ) Prunella modularis

looks more like a stonechat to me, though I can see where the dunnock idea comes from - I think we're about to start another one of those threads where we all see something different!
Welcome to Birdforum Kris!

Thank you all for help. I have two or three more pictures of this bird but I don't think they could be of more help. Maybe a little bit of the location where I took the pictures: it was on the agricultural plot, some 200 metres from the Vistula river. Generally the area is covered with meadows and abundant with bushes and trees.

Honestly, I didn't even think of a stonechat because I hadn't noticed any sign of a red breast. If it was actually the stonechat it would be the second one I've seen. The first one (female) I saw 4 weeks ago some 5 kilometers away from the place where I took the photos:

Czesc,

I think it is juvenile Stonechat.

The other possibility might be very young Meadow Pipit, but I think Stonechat is more likely.

Czesc,
Dzieki - looks like it's not 100% unambiguous, however most of the votes have been cast on the stonechat.

I agree with Stonechat. Note the neck band (should discount Bluethroat, Whinchat (tail to long anyway) etc).

Overall dark appearance with few really great features, especially belly area, could be due to feathers saturated with water (rainstorm?) or just bathed . . .

EDIT: oops :eek!: see we we're actually talking about imms here . . .

Pale legs, dark tail and (apparently) v.thin pale-based bill still all best for Stonechat then? As opposed to eg young Meadow Pipit??

Not sure how you can make those legs pale Dan - in the first pic the left darkish leg has a pale grass stem immediately behind and parallel with it - else this thing's got legs as thick as a crow!! Still a Stonechat - look at the jizz alone

i definitely see a juvenile chat of some sort (most probably stonechat), it can't be anything else for me. look at that pose in the first picture.
