We saw this bird in a large curtain fig on our property near Cooktown last week and the closest I can find is a Brush Cuckoo but it has spots on it wings which don't match the description in the books. I suspect it's a female because of the spots.
It sat motionless for ages and it's about the size approximately of a mudlark.
Does anyone know what it may be?
