Carpet for ID 09.05.24 (1 Viewer)

I came across this moth yesterday (09/05/24) in woodland just north of Southampton (Hants, UK).
I tentatively thought it was a Wood Carpet until I read the section that says it doesn't fly until Jun. so would be grateful for correction
Only got the one pic I'm afraid.
