Cherry Laurel (1 Viewer)

I just moved into a new flat and there are some shrubs on the terrace. The owner told me that those were cherry laurels but I am not sure as they did not have any berries, at least this year). But as there are so many cultivars he might be right.

Could perhaps the moss be reason why the tree is not happy? Shall I remove it and then expect berries next year? :geek:

It looks pretty much like cherry laurel - and, once it's established anyway, that grows pretty rampantly. Maybe it's meant to shut out your neighbours? - but personally I'd rather have something else in my boxes.
