Coney Meadow and Adjoining Areas (11 Viewers)

Stonechat passage in full swing:

1 immature male along the canal between Salwarpe and Ladywood
3 on hedge along the bridleway just north of Salwarpe village - 1 adult male, 1 immature male and a female.

Good views of Kingfisher along the canal earlier

No further sign of the Marsh Harrier. This is my 5th record on the patch.

My first Redwing of the autumn this morning along the canal between Salwarpe and Ladywood.
7 Greylags over plus several flocks of Canadas
Reed Warbler showed well Coney Meadow reedbed - quite a late one.

Loads of linnets in the set aside field behind Salwarpe this afternoon, biggest flock was 65 perched on the overhead wires. Young stonechat in the field too. Also; hen sparrowhawk circled over, mobbed by two crows, single raven and passage skylarks
