Hi guys,
I've seen what looks like a regular Black-whiskered Vireo to me, in Girón (Santander), Colombia, end of August. I'm just surprised to see this wintering species that early and would feel more confortable if someone can confirm there's no other species with such malar stripes.
The other photo was taken this morning in an urban park of Bucaramanga (Santander, Colombia). Last time I was in South America, Chivi Vireo was a subspecies of Red-eyed Vireo. I didn't watch them enough... my bad. Now, I found online that there's a difference in the wing formula. I would conclude my bird is a migrant Red-eyed Vireo and not the local Chivi Vireo. Am I right ?
Thanks.
