Corsica - October (1 Viewer)

Might go for an organized one-week trekking tour based in Corte in the first half of October. How are chances for the endemics then? Nilou, Restonica and also Ile Rousse are mentioned in the proposed itenerary. How about weather & temperature on high altitudes +1700 masl.?

Not sure how visible the nuthatch will be, but it does occur in the Restonica valley. Citril should be easy. I guess the summer migrants will all have left by then.
I don't know about the weather, but in June there was still a lot of snow above 2400 metres, so I'd come prepared.

I walked the GR20 in late September. I saw all the endemics, even Moltoni's Warbler (but just one female). Corsican Finch is easy up in the mountains and Marmora's Warbler was locally common, too. The Nuthatch can be found in most old forests above 1000m. For all of these species knowing the vocalisations makes finding them much easier.
