Hi there
I watched Country Tracks this morning, an it had an article about Kielder Forest, Northumberland National Park, and the local blanket bogs.
I did not know that holes where blown in the bogs to produce wet areas for wading birds. The film was quite old - from 2002......so I am wondering if this is still bring done to support wading birds to this day? The article starts at 44.15 mins into the programme.
Another article about Red Squirrels made for good viewing too. :t:
