This spring im looking for a crabapple tree for next winter that will attract a wide variety of birds. Im in zone 6 if that help. Right now the Zumi Crabapple looks good but if anyones got anybetter suggestios please let me know thanks for help

Any fruit producing crabapple should be good for birds. I have had Nashville Warbler, Orchard Oriole, Baltimore Oriole, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Swainson's Thrush, Gray-cheeked Thrush and lots of warblers in mine, but I don't know the exact breed.

I have been cheching them out and the zumi crabapples look nice im looking for winter persistan friuts and the zumi has nice small winter persitant fruits. What do you think?

Most are actually attracted to insects that feed in the flowers, but orioles and some warblers will drink the nectar.

:hi: I'm here in Wisconsin and we have 2 Prairifire Flowering Crabs and looking at my seed catalog now, for zones 4-8. They have fantastic color in spring (bright rose-red flowers) small fruit and stay on all winter and the birds love them. I have had cardinals, cedar wax-wings, robins and blue jays that I have seen enjoying the fruit. Good luck to you ;)
