I am back asking for id help or confirmation on this duck id.
I am guessing female Scaup
Seen on Aug 5th, at a lake off the highway in Glacier View Alaska.

Yes, Greater Scaup 🙂🐦

Female Scuap, indeed. Note overall brown colours with paler flanks, white around the bill, black is only at the tip of the bill, rounded head.
