I went to Ecclesall woods twice today and I saw:
4 Mandarin ducks
2 Mallards
1 Great-spotted woodpecker
6 Great tits
4 Blue tits
6 Treecreepers
7 Nuthatches...

And I went to whirlow park woods and saw:
2 great spotted woodpeckers
songthrush
bramling
goldcrest
and some willow tits, robins, pigeons, blackbirds, great tits, blue tits e.t.c

Both these places are in sheffield (england) and tommorow I am going to Aberystwyth in wales and I will hopefully see some red kites...

Does anyone know anywhere good to see green woodpeckers near sheffield?

They are resident at Potteric Carr and I usually see them though not always great views. I'm sure there would be somewhere nearer, though.
