Eye sight test (1 Viewer)

I just thought I would post this as it may be of use to a few folk.
I have just been for a full detailed eyesight scan and test, as it's been a few years, and I'm 56 now.
In the last year or so, my right eye has sometimes felt very slightly blurred compared to the left. Like I fell I need to rub it.
Sometimes its ok, but always 'blurs' over eventually. This is slight, but quite annoying.

Anyway, good new is my eyesight is spot on, no glasses required (y)

The 'blurring', albeit slight, is happening because I have very slight 'dry eye' in my right eye.
A few of the oil ducts in my right eye, which excrete the oils to keep my eye from drying, are blocked.
The treatment is heat... and you can get heat pads for this, but the optician said just use a hot wet flannel over the eye for 10 mins, and this will clear the ducts.

The difference is incredible.... best advice I have received in a long time.
Many of you may know this, but I didn't, so just sharing.

He said to do it to both eyes frequently.
So far so good, there's a noticeable difference.

Hope this may help some of you.

I had the same thing recently. I use an eye mask that is heated in the microwave. It stays hotter longer than a flannel. It's a very soothing process. Perhaps because it makes you stop and relax for ten minutes as well as the effect of warming your face.
Eye drops help when out and about when I can't apply heat.

Here's your chance to "kill two birds with one stone." My retinologist recommended using tea bags!
Oh yes, I have heard of that too but had forgotten it. Our dentist recommended that to my wife when she had a mild eye infection. He said that tea has antiseptic properties.
Heat and antiseptic - killing one stone with two birds 😄
