Female Pheasant? (1 Viewer)

Hello all, we have what I think is a female pheasant in our back garden (UK South West, on the outskirts of small city, close to city farm). She was looking in one of the windows earlier and is now sat on the ivy hedge. Never seen a pheasant in our garden before (or any other birds really there are a lot of cats in the neighbourhood). She doesn't seem to be injured or anything but I just wanted to check that this is normal and she will eventually find her way home. Don't like to think of her being lost! Thanks in anticipation for any help.

This is just past the time of year when the game ( eg pheasants ) birds are released onto farmland or shooting estates. They stay in groups for a while before dispersing. Given you're in an urban environment, it is more likely to be an escape from a collection. Enjoy it's prescence in your garden.
