I really appreciate everyone's help with all the ID requests that I've been asking for lately. I just returned from a week in San Diego. I'm an East Coast boy, and know nothing about the birds of California.
Is there enough information in these two, blurry photos to ID this gull? The gull was flying over a salt flat. The photos were taken near sunset, so the color may be a little darker than normal. My guess is that it's a first winter glaucous-winged gull, but that's just a guess. Thanks for your help.
