There is discussion about the bird in these three picture. Some insist that is a Willow Flycatcher, others an Eastern Pewee. The Pewee camp says it has long wings, the Willow camp say it has a pale undertail cover and not enough smudging on the breast. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
John

Definitely Eastern Wood Pewee. In addition to the long wings, there is not enough contrast between the white throat and the underparts, and the eye ring is too weak, the bill is too large, the wingbars too thin and low contrast and the overall color is too drab for Willow. The best field mark is the primary extension ie. long wings, which safely rules out Willow.

Agree all this...
