I'd be grateful for some help with these please:-
!) and 2) both seen at Baltra, but obviously have very different beaks?
3) Also at Blatra on a cactus, but not sure if it is a cactus finch?
4) I think this one is a cactus finch? On Genovesa Island
5) Small warbler finch? Seen on Genovesa

Many thanks

for 5 on Genovesa: Gray Warbler-Finch
I would call 1 small and 2 medium ground finch
Do you have a shot showing the side of the head for 4?

I am not even sure there is any Cactus Finch on Baltra?

Niels

Sure, see attached another angle on the Cactus finch. According to the Wiki info below I think this must be the large cactus finch?

I also added photo I think is the sharp-beaked ground finch?

Wikipedia says : The common cactus finch or small cactus finch (Geospiza scandens) is a species of bird in the Darwin's finch group of the tanager family Thraupidae. It is endemic to the Galapagos Islands, where it is found on most islands, with the notable exception of Fernandina, Española, Genovesa, Darwin and Wolf. Most of these islands are inhabited by its close relative, the large cactus finch.

Thanks again for your assistance

Yes, no small cactus finch on Genovesa, and I also agree with subspecies propinqua for this one - and by the way, Large Cactus Finch has been proposed split.
