Google Street View birding (1 Viewer)

I searched a lot for American White Pelicans in North America and Spot-billed Pelicans in Southeast Asia. Pink-backed is also missing, but I hav'nt tried.
I think it is possible to find all species, just a question of time! :)

Oh dear, i have driven through countless swamps and along the most remote lakes in sri lanka I found - nothing. And now, where do i find the rare Spot-billed Pelican? In the middle of the capitol Colombo on lanterns on a main road…:eek!:

Backstreets of the Melbourne suburbs proving quite productive. In addition to those below I've found a few more unidentified doves as well as a few Mynas.

A more welcoming Welcome Swallow.

Trying to catch up, in chronological order, not easy in this fast-moving thread!

https://www.google.com/maps/@29.8819...7i13312!8i6656

Yes! We have #200!!

Why wasn't my African Jacana #200? (Post #472)

It wasn't in the most recent long list on page 17, and it was posted before Thomas' bird, I thought.

Arrgh! Yes, it is; very sorry. I think what happened here is that both posts #472 and #473 start 'African', and somehow my eye skipped #472 after dealing with #471. Alas, I'm not perfect :-C 3:)

My new goal is to find all the Pelican species in the world. Three we already had. Two more were easy to find, so now we have five out of eight:

Australian Pelican - Australia
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@-35....TYiFjQgy9mGpBR3fEw1w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@-35....V_ZSYN9Y_hX8Rtrk-s1g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

Peruvian Pelican - Chile
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@-27....915&pitch=0&thumbfov=100!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en

I searched a lot for American White Pelicans in North America and Spot-billed Pelicans in Southeast Asia. Pink-backed is also missing, but I hav'nt tried.

Excellent; with corrected numbering, #203, #204 :t:

:-O Swivel round and there's two more on other lamp-posts! Wonder if they're escapes / feral, but giving them the benefit of the doubt - #212 :t:

Notes in bold:

Much better!

Crested Pigeon
https://goo.gl/maps/zWMivuB1vmCWUgsW8
#213

Pigeon/Dove species
https://goo.gl/maps/nu9Ug96eYLU5zT2g7
https://goo.gl/maps/FHjAMj3bBzM9PREp7
I make them Spotted Doves; feral, but #214

Australian Magpie?
https://goo.gl/maps/ZcWpP9CbcDQXuwT56
https://goo.gl/maps/71Q7XicWpfvrgP2h9
Yes; already got

Unexpected suburban Masked Lapwing
https://goo.gl/maps/PEEsmZis5YgLaXsY6
Yes; already got

Little Raven (can't see what else it could be)?
https://goo.gl/maps/4ES1s5L3zRQ5tXd2A

OZ Corvus a nightmare to ID, but on location, can only be either Australian Raven or Little Raven; and lacks long throat feathers, so agree Little Raven #215

Notes in bold:

Western Australia now...

Galah
https://goo.gl/maps/L2zYTvkAevD4Kk6z8
#216 :t:

Corella sp. (unfortunately there are also Long Billed as well as Little and Western in the area)
https://goo.gl/maps/MEUKAkhoXBTpjuMy9
That's the trouble with corellas - too many introduced ferals making ID impossible on GSV views! No doubt a local could ID them from knowing the site, but I can't!

Australian Swamphen
https://goo.gl/maps/8Nebt4bYZbB8yvkDA
Already got

Magpie-lark
https://goo.gl/maps/qUTNNrxfHZxYgkTEA
Already got

Australian White Ibis
https://goo.gl/maps/htw9VZWYvVWwtCQE8
https://goo.gl/maps/d1MjJFTpE2gRnc3e6
Already got (and ditto Black Swan)

Notes in bold:

And some more:

Little Black Cormorant - Tasmania
https://www.google.com/maps/@-42.88...xLL78ZZjRBxoA7OTfmfQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Was going to say 'already got', but surely that's an Australian Pied Cormorant? Little Black is, well, all black :-O (like those melanistic King Penguins . . . 3:)3:)). So, #219 :t:

Pacific Gull - Tasmania
https://www.google.com/maps/@-42.88...qg!2e0!5s20170801T000000!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Excellent! One I'd looked for without joy. #220 :t:

Sparring Gazelle - Kenya
https://www.google.com/maps/@-2.659...1Wuoa9DVn4pEmpnmG7TA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Added to mammals

Blue Wildebeest - Kenya
https://www.google.com/maps/@-2.636...THEF5wn8gPrd7HVbTi8g!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Already got

Yellow-billed Stork - Kenya
https://www.google.com/maps/@-2.641...zkSQNImTe_IUtTAZK-kA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
#221 :t:

? Hamerkop ?- Kenya
https://www.google.com/maps/@-2.639...uXPW9jaWPn1uN2Zq0Ugw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Only in one frame, so I think smaller than it looks. No idea, but I fear not Hamerkop

Pipit sp. (African?) - Kenya
https://www.google.com/maps/@-2.657...ZZcpcNxBBezJTVpN5m7w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656?hl=en
Pass!

And:
"Duck Pond" - Canada :)
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@50.1685416,-97.1322921,643a,35y,222.83h,8.74t/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en
I'll duck my responsibilities on that ;)

The “sparring” gazelle is a Thompson’s. Are the waterfowl in the “hammerkop” shot Whistling Ducks? Is it Fulvous in Africa? Can’t see any white on the face or head.
