Gray Partridge in Southern Quebec? (1 Viewer)

There's a decent possibility that I'm going to be visiting Lake Placid for a weekend in late March, and might have a chance to dash across the border Satuday morning and hunt down an old nemesis bird, gray partridge.

I know there have been sightings near Ottawa, but that's a bit too far for a day trip. Does anyone know of any reliable populations within about 200-250 km of Lake Placid?

I know this is late, I just stumbled on your thread, but in case you ever visit the area again I know that there's a population of gray partridge near the Akwesasne Mohawk Reserve, about 1.5 hrs. NW of Lake Placid. I've also seen some several times in the St. Lazare area on the Quebec side.

Maybe you already went to these places...

Actually, I was planning on heading to the area southeast of Ottawa, but between my school losing their Friday night game and 5" of snow expected in Ottawa that day, I passed.

If we make it back to the tournament next year, I'll give it another go.
