You're more perceptive that the authour of the photo - I've noticed the male only🤣 But still, it's a Shoveler female, because I remember it swimming with a male. Well, but that means her camouflage plumage is working!😂 Here's a better photo with both birds but the male is the most visible, in the center:Wow Jay,
I see the male now. I missed it First, and only detected the female in the center. And knowing, that Teal isnt an option (wich looks also good imo), the colour of the bill base and plain face with only a streak through the eye looked good for a Shoveler. But yes, its hard to judge and I am regular wrong with such assesments
