Guyana Woodpeckers (1 Viewer)

Anyone live in Guyana ? Or have good knowledge of birds and birding there ?
I will be there in October, and I am particularly keen to see Guyana's woodpeckers.
Having difficulty getting exact info on this. For example, are there 20 or 21 species there?
Thanks for any advice.

The speciality over there is the Blood-coloured Woodpecker. The best place for this is the Georgetown Botanic Gardens, first thing in the morning.
For guides, contact Andy Narine at the Guyana Amazon Tropical Birds Society.

Hope this helps!
Neil.
