HDF Zoom and SDL Eyepiece questions (1 Viewer)

Can anyone tell me the difference between the HDF Zoom and HDF T Zoom eyepieces. I believe the T version is the later version, but what are the differences. I don't think the differences can be that major as the part number is the same for both eyepieces 40862.

Also why do Opticron still sell the SDL v2 eyepiece but not the SDL v3.

The T designates twist type eyecup. Early versions of the HDF had fold type eyecups.

We still have some stock of SDL v2 but not of SDL v3.

Cheers, Pete

Thanks Pete,

You must have had the v2 stock quite a while, might be time to sell them off cheap, especially now the v4 is out.

I have the standard HDF eyepiece, but mine has the twist type cup.

I think there must have been three versions of the HDF Zoom and mine is the middle version, mine definitely doesn't have a T on it yet it has the twist type eyecup.
