Just joined after a bit of forum reading—wow! What an engaged group! I’m relatively new to bird photography and am here to learn and share. Here’s a recent photo from Tanzania—an exotic little bird, many of you will recognize, delightfully named the Red-cheeked Cordon-bleu (Uraeginthus bengalus). The photo was made with an OM-1 w/ M.Zuiko 100-400mm/5-6.3 IS at 400mm (800mm efov); ƒ8 @ 1/320, ISO 400; raw file processed in DxO PureRaw and Lightroom. More to come!

Hi Terry and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Such a beautiful bird that cordon-bleu - I do hope we'll be able to see some more of your pictures in the Gallery before too long.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I look forward to hearing your news.

Hi Terry, what a lovely photo! Welcome to the forum; I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.
