Hi,

I‘m an avid hiker and biker who rediscovered his childhood passion for birds during the last year. Bought a pair of Nikon 8x30 Monarch 7 in autumn and have been in enjoying the large numbers of goose, ducks etc. wintering in the Lower Rhine region which make some easy birding targets for beginners to get used to IDing.
I stumbled on the forum while looking for some help with bird identification for some pictures taken on a trekking trip to Nepal 2 years ago (used the winter organizing and cleaning up my external harddisk). Looks like I found the right place and will ask in the ID forum.
