My name is Jayme and I live in Blackhawk, Colorado half of the year and I live in Beech Bluff, Tennessee the other half of the year. Both places have beautiful birds. I love watching them when I have a few minutes to do so.
I got on here today because my Mom, who lives in Beech Bluff found a birds nest with 2 eggs under the hood of her daily driver and she will be going on a road trip in the near future, and is concerned about how to handle the situation without causing any harm to theveggs or nest or upsetting the mama bird. Hi Jayme and a warm welcome to you from those of us on BirdForum!
Tough situation your mom's got. There are quite a few birds that lay brown spotted eggs, Northern Cardinal being one of them. I don't suppose your mom could postpone her trip for several weeks. Once they hatch they won't leave the nest for a few more weeks.

Hi, Jamie and welcome to the forum. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.

Hi Jamie and a warm welcome from me too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
