Hello from North Carolina, USA. I recently put up a Bird Buddy feeder in my yard. It has a camera and captures videos and photos when the birds come to dine.
The Bird Buddy could not identify this dual tufted headed Bird. Is there such a species as a tufted house finch or tufted sparrow? I'm attaching a photo.

That's a House Finch with its head feathers messed up.

House finches indeed. That particular "horned" pattern seems to happen somewhat regularly, especially with fledglings, though I have no idea why.

Same with a lot of European finches. I agree these are fledglings.
