Hi everyone, I have just joined the forum and would like to see if anyone can confirm what this bird is. i suspect it is a Black kite but I have never seen one in this area before. (Lincolnshire, UK)

Sorry about the last message, my computer lagged for a moment and I didn't finish it. It looks like a red kite to me. :)

Yes, certainly Red Kite - look at the deeply forked tail among other things.

Also Black Kite are mostly migrants to Africa (with some groups wintering in the med afair)
