Hey morning folk and early risers, greetings and salutations, although the cheerful greetings may subside over the next 24 hours, as I'm currently on day 8 of our "keep the penguin alive" as my Wife has taken to marking the occasion. My kids get attacked less now and the parents started to treat me as hostile just after we intervened in what would have resulted in the chick's demise, (dehydration and fatigue) but they like me again now. They take food Daily and I feed the chick maybe 4 times a day. But my question is, the parents have 3 chicks, two are still being fed by the parents but I am the fallen chick's only hope. Should I be putting all the food into water to feed the chick, because I'm concerned about dehydration? The other two chick's are avoiding the heat by going around the chimney. But I should add that the parents get startled every time they try to land on the bay roof, because there's a window right above and their reflection startles them away from the landing. And the bay window roof is in direct sunlight for most of the day. Cheers for any help in this guys. My Wife would ultimately like me to put it back onto our roof with the rest of them but I can't take the chance that the patents would feed it again and then I'd be trying to feed it from a higher point again! Cheers.
