I've been going through some older photos, and came across this one from a trip to Alaska in August 2016. They look like pheasants or ptarmigans perhaps?

As always, help appreciated.

TIA
Andy

Ditto to Turkeys; presumably domesticated, as they're not native anywhere in or even near Alaska. Unless you have the photo mis-filed and it was taken somewhere else?

Thank you - sadly not misfiled. I was hoping for something a bit more exotic! It didn't occur to me that they could be domesticated birds in the middle of nowhere.

Thanks again,
