House Finch? (Old pics) (1 Viewer)

Pics taken in Madison, Wisconsin, in early July 2011. I'd always marked this bird as a House Finch but looking at this pic recently put some doubt in my head. Is there anything else it could be?

The photos' colours are oversaturated (no offence), but it is a house finch.

I was gonna go with Purple Finch but I don't see black streaking on its back so I guess I'll stay with House Finch in breeding plumage.

Thanks all! The photos do look oversaturated and I'm wondering if it has something to do with color spaces since they aren't so red on my laptop.

A reminder that House and Purple Finches don't have breeding and non-breeding plumages as they do just one moult (fall) per year
