I had wondered about Chloromyia formosa, but the 15mm size suggested by the OP ruled that out for due to the 5mm difference.
Always take estimated size with huge pinch of salt. BTW Chlorisops is smaller than C. formosa! Of the metallic green Stratiomyidae unarmed scutellum and hairy eyes diagnostic.

Yes, agreed. I realise that Chlorisops is smaller, i hadn’t read the original post in it’s entirety and missed the estimated size initially, hence the schoolboy error!
