It’s a red-billed leiothrix, native to south Asia but a popular cage bird and occurs as an escape from captivity elsewhere

It's a leiothrix. If it's any consolation to you, the species is not native to the area (the local populations in Europe and North America originating from escaped cagebirds that were imported from East Asia).

Ah hi new bird friends! Thanks so much. I wondered why I couldn't find it on the local species lists! I hope it's not the neighbours pet (they have some caged birds). 🙏

Probably it is not, there is a growing self-sustained naturalised population (originated from escapes but now breeding by themselves) around Barcelona metropolitan area
