Hi,
I wonder if anybody can help me identify this bird of prey. I saw it whilst walking by the Basingstoke canal, It settled quite low on a branch, then swooped down, then up again to settle on another tree. It did not fly high as if needing to be low to identify prey.
It looks like a common buzzard, but not sure. The three images show a side on, a rear view and a reasonable one in flight.
I would appreciate if an expert out there could help!
Thanks
