I’m going to be staying on Ile d’Oleron in a few weeks and visiting some of the areas on the mainland, was hoping to see Montagus harrier, Short toed eagle and Bluethroat. I was wondering if anyone had any tips where to see them in that area. I’ve also read that Crested tits are found on Ile d’Oleron and wondered if anyone knew where

Hi Mike, welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. I think you will find us a friendly and helpful group.
I would try posting in this forum for help:

Hi Mike and a warm welcome from me too. I've done a little exploration of our Opus section and found a nature reserve Teich near Bordeaux which, in turn, is in the area of Ile d’Oleron. I couldn't find mention of Montague's Harrier, but certainly Bluethroat are there. This is a link to our article about this reserve: Teich Bird Reserve - BirdForum Opus which also has links to other useful information about the area too.

I'm sure you will enjoy it here and I hope to hear about all the birds you see when out and about.
