Hi, I took these pictures today. Two birds were circling above my house.

Are they kites? Does anyone know what kind of kites?

As nobody else has had a crack at this, despite never having been to Oz, I'd say it looks like an accipter to me and my best guess is Brown Goshawk (A. fasciatus),

I would have said Goshawk of some kind though not familiar with Oz birds.Congrats on the win in Cardiff by the way!
