Both of the following were seen offshore between Koh Tao and Chumphon (western Gulf of Thailand). Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello,

with the strong/broad barred flanks, largely yellow neck and strong bill your first bird is a Pomarine Skua imo.
The second bird might well be a Parasitic Skua (? a quite cold-hued bird? Would be my guess in quizz modus), but I better wait and learn. Thanks!

Regarding the 2nd bird. Do you have any more images of the tern? It might be an Aleutian in non-breeding plumage.
