This lil guy was accompanying 3 Common ringed plovers on a flying visit to chew Valley lake. Dunlin is the know fit I can muster, but I'm far more familiar with other plumages, so please let me know if I've made any error! Thanks

It is rare to see Dunlin in juvenile plumage south of the breeding grounds, at least in the US. I have seen it just once before. And excellent find.

Nice! It's my first time seeing this plumage in the UK too, it did give me some puzzle at first! A very nice learning experience.
