I’m wondering if anyone knows of a birder/guide in Kyoto who would be willing to take me on a half day bird tour whilst I’m in Kyoto. Obviously happy to contribute. Thanks
 
If you are on Facebook check out Kantori - an English speaking group of ex-pat and Japanese birders - there may be someone on there who can help.

Also perhaps put a duplicate thread in the Information Wanted &/or Japan sub-forums.
