Any help please ... it had a thin bill, so we ruled out finches and buntings.

Cant see any long hind claw so meadow pipit is out ...

At risk of appearing stupid!...this looks like an Accentor not from these parts!

But it does show photo affectation at it's best :)

i dont think you sound stupid ... obvioulsy this is why i posted it ... honestly in the field it didnt have the jizz of a dunnock but those legs and streaky flanks look like dunnock ...
