Good day at Llanelli WWT (South Wales, UK) today. Rain gave us, and those that braved it, millionaires birding.
12 spoonbills out of the 19 which is a record for the venue feeding today at the British Steel hide with 30 cormorants on the banks towards Loughor estuary.
Flock of Widgeon circa 100 with 20 or so bar tailed Godwits and 6/7 Ruff mixed in. Plenty of gulls, black head, black backed on the water. Falcon came through British Steel hide but too fast to identify.
Shelduck prolific today on all waters suppoted by teal, garganeye, tufties and the coot and moor hens.
3 common snipe seen from the Sir Peter Scott hide in the Reed bed to the left.
Long tailed tits around the freshwater ponds.

All topped off with an evening meal at the Billycan, Tenby (highly recommended if your in westest Wales)
